Christopher R. Bryant

Christopher R. Bryant was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 9,1978. Born and raised in Texas, I moved with my family, in 1989, to the Ass-End of Nowhere (aka Mechanicsburg, PA). While this town is one of the most boring to have ever existed, I did meet many of my now very good friends.

In high school, I participated in many after school activities including Cumberland Valley's Student-owned, student-controlled, student-cast, student-directed, and occassionally student written drama club, The Barefoot Players. In fact, I was one of its founding members, being one of the twenty or so people who attended the very first meeting, which happened to grace my sophomore year. Additionally, I was also very involved with the KICK-@$$ Cumberland Valley Marching Band in the last of its glory years in TOB (Tournament of Bands to you lay people). While in band, I met and became friends with many people who have had an incredible effect on my life and my personality. To all of you, and you know who you are, I thank you. I could never have been the person I am without you. I truly enjoyed my last two years in High School and was one of the few people who felt saddened to leave (yes, I know you all think I’m utterly weird now). A simply, happy, and relatively uncomplicated time in my life was over. And everything pretty much went to straight to hell for quite some time.

Graduating from Cumberland Valley High School in 1996, I began attending West Virginia University, majoring in Public Relations. Here I dealt with stupid advisors, whose advice I’m still trying to correct. Also I dealt with stupid staff, faculty, and an administration which places students #14 on their list of priorities (list available upon request). However, I also became involved with Alpha Phi Omega. APO is a Co-Ed National Service Fraternity based on the ideals of the BSA. We are not a greek organization and do not belong to the Pan-Hellenic Counsel.

Since I joined Alpha Phi Omega, it has become a mainstay of my life, despite some of the aggrevation some of the petty members can cause.

Well, what is left to say? For those of you who don’t know, I am an untrusting bastard. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I usually expect the worse from people except a select few. The people I truly trust and call my Friends (please not the capital ‘F,’ not just friends) are few and far between, and can probably be counted on less than ten fingers. Sorry to everyone else. I don’t mean to offend, but its a trust thing, and I don’t have a whole lot of trust left in me... Please don’t be pissed or anything. It doesn’t mean I’ll never trust anyone else, but it takes a hell-of-a long time for me to decide that a person is worth true trust. friends are those that most would call friends, but to me Friends are those people that I wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice my life for. They are few and far between, and they should know who they are........
