Over the past few years, Candy has become one of my closest and most trusted friends. She has become a confidant and a person i go to with all my problems and joys. How did our friendship start? Well, Candy pledged APO the semester after I did. We were out in the ‘Lair food court just hanging out and studying and she set the entire stage of our friendship by delving right in with a very personal question. What was it? Sorry, no dice.
I’m not adverstising it. Needless to say, our friendship has grown along those lines since. Hopefully, she’ll write up a bio of herself to give just a little more insight in that which is Candy D.
And now, in her own words...
Well, I see that Chris told you how we met. Yes, it was quite the interesting conversation. The question, well, Chris isn't telling, and I'm not telling, so..... I guess the world may never know. It sort of makes it more mysterious this way, don't you think?
Let's see, what to tell you. I'm a Senior graduating in December from West Virginia University. YEAH!!!! I can't wait, and the best part is I'll be done a semester early!! My major is Psychology. My friend Sean (see bio on Chris's page) seems to think that all psychology majors pick this area of study to find out what is wrong with them. I think I picked this area to find out what was wrong with all my friends!! Then again, the first answer may apply....
The worst part about graduating is knowing that you are going to have to say goodbye. Hopefully, I won't have to. I'm applying to graduate school at the University in the spring in Public Administration. So,if all goes well, I'll be around to torment Chris another year. Somethings are just too much fun to let them end too early!
When I'm not working, (which seems to be all the time), I love spending time with my friends. There's not much to do in Morgantown, so we have to invent ways to keep ourselves amused. All I have to say are two words, whipcream and ice. Enough said. Your imaginations are probably better than reality anyway. :0)
Alpha Phi Omega is also I really big part of my life. That's how I met my roomate Rachel. She was a pledge my first active semester and I commented to her once at a service project that her pin was on the wrong side! We've been friends ever since. We live in Morgantown with my dog, Morgan (the cutest minature collie you will ever see!). Coincidence, possibly? I've also been lucky enough to met several of the most important people in my life through APO, Chris, of course, Dan, Rachel, and last but not least Sean. There are others, but you don't get to read about all of them.
I love to travel. Road trips have been a big part of my time in Morgantown. It seems we've gone everywhere. Florida, Minnestota, New York, and everywhere in between. Some of my fondest memories are from these trips. Rachel's "moon," Sean's "signs," what it must have been like for my mother raising her three kids. I think I'll wait a couple years before I have kids of my own....Assuming of course that I'm married before this time.
Well, I guess that about does it for me. I'm not sure what else to say. Hopefully this gives you a little insight to who I am. Take care and remember to let those important to you know it on a some what regular basis!!
